The Marshall Tiger Marching Band
is a 237 member volunteer group taken
from 840
students
in grades 9-12. The band
department has more than 360 band students in 4 concert bands, 2 pep bands, and
4 jazz bands.
The Tiger Marching Band competes in Minnesota, Iowa,
and South Dakota throughout the fall of the year.
The Tiger Marching Band competes
annually in Minnesota, South Dakota, and Iowa. In 2003 the band
competed at the Bands of America Grand National Championships in
Indianapolis IN receiving a Division I ranking. In 2005 the
marching band competed at the Bands of America Super Regional in St.
Louis, Mo. Placing 2nd in Class AA and 12th
place overall in the Super Regional Finals out of 60 bands from 23
different states! This year the band will again be returning to the
St. Louis Super Regional in October.
The Tiger Marching Band in
cooperation with Southwest Minnesota State University, Marshall
Public Schools, and the Marshall Music Boosters are host to the
Pursuit of Excellence
Marching Competition
held
Saturday September 22nd. This year there will be 15
competing bands from Iowa, South Dakota, and Minnesota.

The Marshall Tiger Marching Band prides itself on
innovative show concepts, excellence in marching, and full musical
sound. The Directors, Staff, and fans are dedicated to student
